How to copy a Discord user ID
Discord uses the user ID to tell accounts apart. It stays the same even when someone changes their username.
- 1
Turn on Developer Mode
Open User Settings in Discord, select Advanced, and turn on Developer Mode.
- 2
Copy the user ID
On desktop, right-click the user and choose Copy User ID. On mobile, open their profile, tap the three-dot menu, then tap Copy User ID.
- 3
Paste it above
Paste the copied number into the lookup field and select Lookup.
What a Discord ID lookup can tell you
A Discord ID is more than a number. Even when a profile shows very little, the ID itself carries useful information.
When the account was created
Every Discord ID encodes the moment the account was created, so a lookup can show the account's age even when the rest of the profile is sparse.
Public profile details
Username, display name, avatar and badges, whenever Discord makes them public.
A starting point, not proof
A new account is one signal when you check for alts or raid accounts, not evidence on its own. To catch alt accounts before they join, use alt detection during verification.
