Bot Commands

Every slash and right-click command your RestoreCord bot adds, who can use it and what it replies.

Your RestoreCord bot registers its commands in your Discord server automatically. Most of them are gated by the bot's own permission list in the dashboard, not by Discord roles, so by default only the server owner can use them.

Command permissions

Commands marked with a permission in bold above follow the Manage Permissions list on your server's Security tab. Discord permissions such as Administrator do not unlock them. With no entries, only the server owner can use them.

Go to Security › Manage Permissions Go to Servers › Manage › Security

PermissionAllows
Blacklist Management/blacklist and RC - Blacklist: adding and removing users from the server blacklist
User Bypass/bypass and RC - Bypass: letting users skip the firewall
Pull Command/pull, once it is available
User InformationMember Info: viewing detailed information about members
Leave Review/feedback, /vouch and /rep

Anyone without the permission gets this reply:

“You don't have permission to use this command. Ask the server owner to grant you the <permission> permission in the RestoreCord dashboard.”

Granting permissions

Open Manage Permissions

Open Manage Permissions on your server's Security tab.

Go to Security › Manage Permissions

Add a user or a role

Enter a Discord user ID (17–19 digits) or pick a role. Roles are easier to maintain for a staff team.

Choose the permissions

Tick only what that person or role needs, then save.

To let your members leave reviews with /feedback or /vouch, grant Leave Review to your verified role.

Manage Permissions controls the bot's commands in Discord. To give teammates access to the dashboard instead, use Sub-Users.

Commands

/setup

Publishes your verification message with its Verify button, either in the channel you run it in or in the verification channel saved in the dashboard. Only members with the Discord Administrator permission can run it.

Before you run it, check that:

  • This Discord server is added to RestoreCord in the dashboard.
  • The bot has View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Manage Webhooks in the channel.
  • Unverified members can see the channel. The bot warns you if they can’t.

Run /setup again whenever you edit the verification message, change your custom domain or switch bots, so the posted button stays up to date. You can also publish from the dashboard with Save & publish. See Server Settings.

Server Not RegisteredAdd this Discord server in the dashboard, then run /setup again. Go to Servers
I need the following permissions in #channel…Give the bot View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Manage Webhooks in that channel

/blacklist and RC - Blacklist

Blocks a user from verifying in your server. Needs Blacklist Management.

CommandOptionsExample reply
/blacklist adduser, optional reason (shown in the firewall log)@user has been blacklisted. They will be blocked from verifying.
/blacklist removeuser@user can verify again.
/blacklist listoptional pageA paged list of blacklisted users and reasons
Right-click → RC - BlacklistAsks for an optional reasonSame as /blacklist add

Blacklisted users see error 990031 when they try to verify. Each blacklist entry is a block rule, so you can also manage it under the firewall's Rules. See Firewall.

Go to Firewall › Rules

/bypass and RC - Bypass

Lets a user verify without any firewall checks for a limited time, for example after a false alt or VPN detection. Needs User Bypass.

CommandOptionsExample reply
/bypass grantuser, duration (15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours or 7 days), optional reason (only shown in the confirmation)@user can now verify for 1 hour without firewall checks.
/bypass revokeuser@user’s bypass has been removed.
/bypass list—Active bypasses with the time left and who granted them
Right-click → RC - BypassAsks you to choose a durationSame as /bypass grant

Each user can have only one active bypass. Granting a second one replies that the user already has an active bypass; revoke it first if you want a different duration. You can also grant bypasses from the dashboard's firewall activity logs.

/syncroles

Compares the members of your Discord server with your verified members and previews which verified roles will be added or removed. Nothing changes until you confirm, and you can cancel instead. Use it after fixing a role problem, so members who verified earlier get the right roles.

Needs the Discord Administrator permission, a verified role set in the dashboard, and Manage Roles for the bot with its role above the verified role. If the bot's role is too low it replies “I don't have permission to manage the <role> role.”

Member Info

Right-click a user → Apps → Member Info to see whether they verified, when, and from which country. It also flags VPN or proxy connections. IP address, ISP and device are shown on paid plans. Needs User Information.

If the user never verified, the bot replies “@user has not verified on this server.”

/feedback and /vouch

Opens a form to rate the server from 1 to 5 stars and write a review. Only verified members can submit, and there is a 24-hour cooldown between changes to a review. Needs Leave Review, and the server needs a feedback page set up. See Feedback & Discovery.

ReplyMeaning
Verification RequiredThe member hasn’t verified in this server yet
Existing Review FoundThe member already left a review and is shown their current one
Feedback Not EnabledThe server owner hasn’t set up a feedback page

/rep

Shows the server's trust score and its most recent reviews. Needs Leave Review.

/pull

Not available yet. The command replies “Work In Progress”. Start pulls from the dashboard instead; see Pull Members.

/ping

Anyone can run it. The bot replies “Pong!” when it is online and responding.

Background features

These run automatically without a command, but only while your bot is online:

  • Giving the unverified role when someone joins.
  • Sending reminder and kick DMs, and auto-kicking members who don’t verify in time.
  • Auto-Blacklist on Ban: blocking banned users from verifying again.

The bot also needs the Server Members and Message Content privileged intents turned on in the Discord Developer Portal for the unverified role and auto-kick to work. Web verification keeps working while the bot is offline. See Bot Errors if your bot shows as offline.

Troubleshooting

ProblemFix
