Common Errors

Rate Limited

Understand Discord's verification rate limit, how long it can last, and when to retry.

If verification shows “Rate limited, please try again later” (error 10003), wait 60 minutes before trying again. This verification error comes from Discord. RestoreCord cannot remove the limit or make it expire sooner.

Why this happens

Discord may apply the rate limit to your Discord account or to the specific bot you are verifying with. Its duration can range from several minutes to more than 24 hours.

Waiting 60 minutes is a recommended first step, not a guarantee that the limit will have expired. Discord controls when requests are allowed again.

What to do

Wait 60 minutes

Stop attempting verification and give it a full hour. Avoid repeatedly clicking Verify or opening multiple verification tabs during that time.

Try once more

After waiting, open the server's verification link and try again once.

If it persists, check your connection and browser

Disable any VPN or proxy you are using; see VPN/Proxy Detected for help, including iCloud Private Relay on iPhone. You can also try a different browser or device on a later attempt.

These checks do not remove a Discord account or bot rate limit. Space out attempts instead of rapidly switching browsers or devices to retry.

Still rate limited?

Give it more time. Some Discord rate limits last longer than 24 hours, and RestoreCord cannot reset or bypass them. Do not attempt verification many times in a short period.
